If you are looking for MCS approval, for qualifications for heat pumps and solar thermal, you will need the following 3 qualifications; Unvented Hot Water Systems; Energy Efficiency (Part L) and Water Regulations
We offer all the above cousrse, to do all 3 qualifications (Initial), the price would be £480 inc of vat!
NB If you have already done the Unvented Hot Water Systems qualification and are therefore looking for a re assessment, the cost to do this plus the Water Regulations and the Energy Efficiency (Part L) qualifications would be £425 inc of vat

We are now offering the CMDDA1 course for experienced gas engineers, who are required to investigate and make safe instances when a ‘concern for safety’ has been raised in respect of a domestic gas appliance or in cases when a CO alarm has been activated in a property.  See the following flyer for more details. 


With state of the art facilities and professional trainers with many years experience, North West Training Council (NWTC) Gas Centre in Halewood, Liverpool (former PfL Building) is in a prime position to support the up-skilling of gas engineers in and around the North West.

Our comprehensive portfolio of programmes includes the following:

ACS Domestic Gas Training and Assessment: (Please note training is not a prerequisite to take assessments)

  • CCN1 and Appliances Initial and Re-Assessment
  • CPA1 initial and Re Assessment
  • Appliances (CKR1, CENWAT, HTR1, MET1, DAH1) Initial and Re-Assessment
  • CONGLP1 in PD, RPH, LAV, Boats Initial and Re-Assessment
  • CCLP1 in PD, RPH, LAV, Boats Initial and Re-Assessment
  • Unvented Hot Water Initial (now £192 all in!) and Re-Assessment (now £120 all in!)
  • Water Regulations
  • Intermediate Gas Certificate (For people who have some experience in the trade but who lack the necessary qualifications to allow them access to ACS assessment)
  • Essential Electrics and Combi Fault Finding
  • Gas Awareness Courses
