If you are employed the remainder of the time will be spent with your employer, following the National Vocational Qualification (N.V.Q) Level 2 laid down by the Construction Industry Training Board (C.I.T.B) and the City & Guilds, leading to a certificate of apprenticeship.
The training includes all aspects of site and bench joinery such as:
January to August. Most apprenticeships commence in September of each year.
Application Forms are available from School, Connexions or direct from NWTC using the form at the bottom of this page.
If you obtain good results in the NWTC Selection Test you will be invited to attend Interview with one of our Training Officers Some evidence of practical ability and an interest in Carpentry & Joinery would be useful.
