National Vocational Qualification’s (NVQ’s) are an integral part of the education and training programme delivered to all our apprentices and to those of our partner companies.

 

As a result of recent discussions with Jacobs Biscuits, the decision was taken to up-skill the craft workforce, consisting of Maintenance Electricians and Maintenance Fitters, by working towards this formal recognised qualification.  

 

A combination of flexible block and day release periods at NWTC’s training centre gave them the relevant knowledge, skills and experience to prepare them for achieving the NVQ Level 2 Engineering Maintenance qualification by gathering evidence whilst back working in company.
