NWTC 43rd Annual Presentation Evening
Our annual Apprentice of the Year presentation was held this year at Aintree Racecourse. It was a windy night but the Earl of Derby stand was very calm and welcoming. Our principal guest this year was Debi Jones.
Debi is well known on Merseyside mostly as the very popular afternoon radio presenter on Radio Merseyside and Radio Gold. Recently Debi has turned her interests to local politics and stood as the Conservative MP for Sefton. Debi has recently agreed to become an active board member with NWTC and kindly agreed to present the awards at this year’s presentation evening; celebrating young peoples’ achievements.
Also in the main party was the High Sheriff of Merseyside, Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Mr R W Lofthouse OBE (NWTC Chairman), MR G T Hunter (NWTC Trustee Director) and our Chief Executive Mr P D Musa. Compere for the evening was our very own June McKay.
The evening was an evening of celebration for the winners and their families and companies, and also provides an opportunity for NWTC staff to meet the families of the learners they have supported throughout the year.
The winner of the Apprentice of the Year and the recipient of the R.W. Lofthouse Trophy was Henry Young of Sun Valley Snacks.
