Whether you are looking for a job that enables you to carry on learning, or are already in employment and want to gain further qualifications, an Apprenticeship is the option for you. They allow you to start work and earn a wage, while learning new skills that will lead to nationally recognised qualifications.

Advanced Carpentry & Joinery Apprenticeships normally last for 3 years during which time you will attend the NWTC training centre one day a week for 3 years, following a Technical Crtificate Course. The remainder of the time will be spent with your employer on site, following the National Vocational Qualification (N.V.Q) Level 3 and Key Skills laid down by the Construction Industry Training Board (C.I.T.B) and City & Guilds, leading to a certificate of advanced apprenticeship.
Advanced Electrical Installation Apprenticeships normally last four years during which time you will attend our Training Centre or a College one day per week for 3 years, following a Technical Certificate course. The remainder of your time will be spent with your employer on site carrying out electrical installation work. NWTC will monitor and assess your Apprenticeship progress on a regular basis to ensure you complete your National Vocational Qualification (N.V.Q) at Level 3, Technical Certificate, Key Skills and AM2 test, which will lead to a certificate of Advanced Apprenticeship and qualify you to be registered as an electrician.
Advanced Engineering Apprenticeships usually last four years during which time you will attend our Training Centre or a College one day per week for initial training and Further Education. The remainder of your time will be spent with your employer training in engineering. NWTC will monitor your Apprenticeship on a regular basis to ensure you complete your National Vocational Qualification (N.V.Q) at Level 3 and Key Skills, which will lead to a Certificate of Advanced Apprenticeship.
Advanced Motor Vehicle Apprenticeships normally last for four years during which time you will attend our Training Centre or a College one day per week for 3 years, following a Technical Certificate course. The remainder of your time is spent with your employer following the National Vocational Qualification (N.V.Q) Level 3 and Key Skills as laid down by the Motor Industry Training Council (M.I.T.C), leading to achieving a Certificate of Advanced Apprenticeship.
Advanced Plastering Apprenticeships normally last for four years during which time you will attend our Training Centre or a College one day per week. The remainder of your time will be spent with your employer. NWTC will monitor your apprenticeship on a regular basis to ensure you complete your National Vocational Qualification (N.V.Q) Level 3, Technical Certificate, and Key Skills, which will lead to a Certificate of Advanced Apprenticeship.
Advanced Plumbing, Heating & Mechanical Apprenticeships normally last for 3 to 4 years during which time you will attend the NWTC training centre one day per week for 3 years following a Technical Certificate course.
The remainder of the time will be spent on site or in the workshop with your employer, following the National Vocational Qualification (N.V.Q) Level 3 laid down by the Construction Industry Training Board (C.I.T.B) Key Skills.
Advanced Security Technician Apprenticeships normally last for up to four years during which time you will attend our Training Centre one day per week for 3 years, following a Technical Certificate course. The remainder of your time will be spent with your employer on site carrying out security systems installation work. NWTC will monitor your Apprenticeship progress on a regular basis to ensure you complete your National Vocational Qualification (N.V.Q) at Level 2 and N.V.Q Level 3, plus a City & Guilds Technical Certificate and Key Skills.
