Founded in 1963 to address the need for apprentice training, NWTC has grown to become one of the largest private sector training organisations, with an unrivalled reputation for the quality of training and related consultancy.
We provide practical, pragmatic training designed specifically to meet the needs of industry. From apprentices to senior managers, NWTC has helped over 20,000 employees realise their full potential.
NWTC's staff teach a growing number of engineering educational programmes, which underpin the vocational courses we provide. We are an accredited centre with BTEC (EdExcel), and City & Guilds, EAL and offer a wide range of courses, which will complement the training of your apprentices.
Our students are learning Computer Aided Design (CAD) through a donation of progeCAD 2010 Professional by progeSOFT http://www.progesoft.com
There are many areas of work where specific nationally recognised certificates are essential. We provide a wide range of courses to cater for these requirements i.e.: - 16th Edition Electrical Installation, Portable Appliance Testing, Manual Handling, Management of Health and Safety, Fork-Lift Truck, ACS Gas Installer’s Certificate, Power Press, COSHH (care of substances hazardous to health), Risk Assessment and many, many more.
Or Multi-skilling as it is more commonly known. Companies are always looking for more efficient working methods in their engineering departments. NWTC has worked with numerous companies to devise different programmes, tailored to suit the individual needs of each organisation. These programmes include Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance, Electronics, PLC, CNC and Welding to National and International standards.
NWTC has a long history of helping first time supervisors and managers to adapt to their new roles. We now provide training; consultancy and career development assistance to people at all levels. We have also developed a range of senior management and consultancy programmes, including EU funded initiatives.
We are working with a wide range of schools to introduce the students to an equally wide range of vocational professions they might choose as a career, when they leave school. The students will work towards an NVQ level 1 and in some cases will reach the level 2 qualification. From an employer's point of view, these students can be quite an attractive proposition, as by the time they leave school they will have a good foundation in their chosen subject.
Our customers' worlds never stand still and so we are always developing new courses. As well as new and improved methods of delivery, to ensure that we can provide you with the up to date training service your organisation needs.
We currently have fifty-five full time staff, and twenty-two part time staff working for our organisation.
